Music Festival Fits & Must Haves

Summer is about to begin, which means Music Festivals! Coachella was last weekend, and Hangout Fest is just around the corner. Last year I went to Hangout, and it was so much better than I was expecting. We had so much fun, and it was our grades last, big hurrah together. Very bitter sweet, but if I was to go again; I would definitely do some things differently. I am here to tell y'all what to pack, the best outfits to wear, and what to expect.

First off...OUTFITS. If you couldn't guess, this is my favorite part! Looking back at it I would definitely not wear what I wore last year again because it was not put together well. I was late to ordering...oops. The weather is one word; hot, so, it is highly recommended to wear a swimsuit because you will be sweating. When wearing a bathing suit, any type of cover up, whether that be shorts or pants, all look super cute. Bright colors and bold accessories will turn an outfit from boring to amazing. I love the look of glister as freckles or on your part. You simply can't have too much glitter. Hair pieces are fun as well, and we added tinsel to our hair just to add some extra shine. Adding fun jewelry and headbands are also a must, and they add so much to the outfit. When it comes to shoes, closed toed, old tennis shoes are most likely the best. The sand gets gross, and it is worth it to get a pair dirty and be comfortable.

So, we talked about the basic outline of an outfit, but what do you need to pack? First off, you will want to have a fanny pack. Trust me you will be thanking me later, but this is life changing. It is so crowded and if you drop something, it's gone. You would also want to bring sunscreen and sunglasses. If it's as sunny as it was last year, then you will get burned. It is nice to bring sunscreen and something to help block off the sun just if you need too. Disposable cameras are also so fun to bring, not a must, but highly recommend. Over pack. I know ideally you don't want to bring to much stuff, but when you get there you are going to change your mind on what to wear so much, also it is nice to borrow from others. A fan would have also been nice to have when waiting. The concerts are so fun, but it is a lot of waiting, especially if you want a good spot.

Lastly, one of the main concerns is the atmosphere, and what to expect people wise. Overall, I felt very safe and there was a lot of security, but the buddy system is a must. The service once you arrive to the festival is non existent...so remember to stick with a person because phone calls, texts, and social media simply don't work. I would also recommend scoping out the grounds and having a meet up spot. There are so many people, and it is very easy to get separated. I can say that from experience, and it is not fun to be alone. Second, is use common manners to the people around you. Everyone is there to enjoy to concerts, but some people get very moody, especially when it comes to cutting lines. The best trick to get to the front, is grab hands and walk in a long line, and pray for the best. Overall, it was really a great experience and I would totally go again.
